We are a friendly group of francophiles which Sylvia and I started in January 2016 because we love French literature, and there didn't seem to be an existing group of this kind that we could join. We read a book a month, and discuss it in French. We do not expect perfect French, and do not correct each other! We all speak French to the best of our abilities. However in order to enjoy the reading, one needs to have a good knowledge of the language and be prepared to speak it. We have reading breaks in the summer and in December, when we have socials instead. At present we have 12 members, which is pretty much our upper limit.
