This discussion group is planned to appeal to those interested particularly in our Justice system with no direct knowledge of law required. It will present a broad approach to law matters and will include both domestic and international issues, with criminal, civil and family matters being looked at. We will consider some past and present legal cases, Acts of Parliament, conventions and possibly treaties. It is intended to be a fairly light-hearted discussion, hopefully avoiding those emotions that can arise when perceived injustices are discussed.
The leader is a retired accountant, who has taken a law degree in recent times, but who has been interested for many years in the remarkable reasoning process needed to uphold the ‘rule of law’ and the democratic process which dates back many centuries.
Intending to start: 09 February 2026.
